Happy Holidays my darling. I hope you had a beautiful and light filled Winter Solstice and that Christmas is equally as magical. I’ve been spending these last days of 2024 reflecting on what this year has been like for me and what I want for 2025. For those of you who have asked me when I will teach more about tarot and oracle, then 2025 is going to be a really fun and informative year for you. As always, I go where my spirit tells me to and I can feel that shift happening as I write this.
As for the cards this week, I will warn you, the card that landed on Christmas isn’t the happiest card but as I mention in the interpretation, we get the cards we need and that rarely lines up with what we want. Try to take it in a positive way. And because the universe is ever working in balance, a more fun filled positive card appears for Boxing Day. Which reminds me, Boxing Day has grown to become a second Black Friday if you will but it used to be a time to donate gifts to those less fortunate. I encourage you to spread love on Boxing Day.
One last note, Spirit Element is on Winter Hiatus so and will return January 6th in the new year. If there’s content you’d like from my membership, I would highly recommend saving it now as changes are afoot. More on that this new year.

I like this card. It represents a physical transformation or as the card itself says, a glow up. You don’t often see cards like that in an oracle deck. A glow up is always a good idea in my opinion because how you look has a direct impact on how you feel. We can try to convince ourselves that our looks don’t matter but we know that they do. I’m not saying you should try to become a super model but there’s nothing wrong with dressing in a way that brings you confidence or wearing makeup if it makes you feel pretty. You move through the world differently when you feel good about yourself and I don’t think that’s anything to be ashamed of. So get a new haircut or start wearing a power shade of lipstick. Maybe you’ll buy a pair of shoes that you love or you decide to start wearing suits full time in the new year. Again, this isn’t about feeding beauty standards. It's about investing in yourself and what makes YOU feel good.

It's Christmas eve and of course we have a card that guides you to spend time with your loved ones which isn’t just family but anyone you have in your life that makes you feel supported. Today is all about being with those you love. Leave everything else behind until after the holidays. Eat and drink too much with your family, wear pajamas all day and do all of those holiday traditions that you’ll remember for the rest of your life. Have a friend’s holiday party or go out and spend time at a Christmas fair if you’re usually by yourself. Don’t overthink it. Let this day be merry and bright.

Merry Christmas darling. In truth, I’m sad to see this card for today as it represents overcoming obstacles. That’s not the happiest card for Christmas but we get the cards we need, not the ones we want so it is what it is. Penguin guides you to have determination today. That could mean something really challenging is going to happen like your aunt burning the Christmas ham or the cat pulling down the tree. But this card could also speak to those of you who don’t have joyful holidays. Perhaps this day brings up memories you’d rather forget or grief strikes today, stealing your holiday joy. Know that you can get through whatever it is. Yes it might be a challenge but you’ll overcome it.

→ Stocking
This card represents finding treasure which is so beautiful for the day after Christmas. For one its boxing day so you might really find actual treasures but I kid as this is so much more than that. The holidays aren’t about gifts so that all of that is out of the way, you can focus on what truly matters. It's the memories and the time spent with people you love. Maybe your cousin did something that made the entire family roar with laughter and you’ll never let your cousin forget it. Maybe it's the joy of spending Christmas with your baby for the first time or perhaps this is the first year you hosted and its a time you won’t forget. Maybe the holidays have never been good for you before but you finally had one that brought you joy. Or maybe this was just a great year and you’re finally taking today to let that sink in. This card is about looking beyond the commercialized version of the holiday and finding the treasure that actually means something to you.

→Christmas tree
Today the assignment is to spend time in nature and in the outdoors and the holidays are a wonderful time to do so. Whether you go out and ice skate, find a Christmas tree or spend the evening at a Christmas market. The spiritual industry spends too much time telling you to hermit inside of your home or to spend time alone. That’s fine sometimes but don’t dismiss the value of getting out of your personal space. Remember that there’s an entire world out there. There’s so much to see and do. Personal time is wonderful but so is social time where you can be reminded of how much you’re loved or that there’s joy in the world. So do yourself this favor and get out today, even if all you can do is walk down to get a hot cocoa. It might be more restorative than you can imagine.

Romance is in the air today when mistletoe appears. Be romantic today, that’s the advice. Go out of your way to be lovely dovey, steal kisses, and hug a bit too long. Why not? It doesn’t always have to be your partner doing the romantic things. Take it upon yourself to do something meaningful or sexy or loving. If you’re single, then romance yourself. Eat dinner by candlelight or cozy up with pillows and blankets and some slinky nightwear with a glass of wine. You can have your own romantic self-love night, learning to not just tolerate your own company but to truly enjoy it.

This card is very similar to the nine of cups in tarot as it means wishes come true. You have an open doorway to ask the universe for whatever you want. Do it with conviction and the belief that you are deserving of it. Wishes are granted all of the time and why shouldn’t you get one from time to time? The trick is not to doubt the magic. Don’t come up with reasons why what you want can’t work or all of the reasons why it won’t work for you. Don’t worry about that. A wish isn’t supposed to be what’s possible, it's supposed to be something magical and dreamy which happens to be spirit's speciality. Something I’ve started saying a lot this year is “ask and ye shall receive.” At first, I just said that to be funny but then I found the more I said it, the more it came true. Give it a try for yourself. Ask with no expectations and see what happens.
