Magnolia Bark Hair Growth Conditioner
Magnolia bark is a bit of a splurge ingredient and more challenging to track down but it’s totally worth it. It stimulates hair growth, combats environmental stress, and revives the scalp. Energetically, magnolia bark attracts love and makes one more attractive. Here, i’ve infused it in an oil which you can also use on the body as a moisturizer.
For Magnolia Bark Hair Oil
2 tbsp. Dried magnolia bark
2 tbsp. Dried catnip
1 tbsp. Dried marshmallow root
½ cup olive oil
½ cup jojoba oil
2 tbsp. Castor oil
For the Conditioner
½ cup Unscented conditioner
¼ cup Honey
1 tbsp. Magnolia bark oil
25 drops orange essential oil
15 drops neroli essential oil
5 drops cedarwood essential oil
Make the magnolia hair bark oil by adding herbs to a small crockpot or double broiler and pour over oil to cover plants completely. Cook on low for 2-3 hours, then remove from heat and allow to cool.
Strain mixture using cheesecloth and compost plant material. Pour mixture into a jar or bottle with a tight lid for up to one year. Throw away immediately if the oil smells rancid or develops any sign of bacterial growth.
Blend together honey and magnolia infused oil in a small bowl until well combined. Add the conditioner and blend again until smooth. Stir in the essential oil and mix well.
Massage into damp hair and comb through with a wide tooth comb. Cover with a shower cap for 30 minutes or up to overnight for very dry hair and rinse well and follow with Catnip Hair Rinse.
