I Almost Gave Up on Magic
One moment of clarity changed my life.
Many, many moons ago, I was working for a now ginormous witchy company as Head of Product Development. Among other things, my responsibilities included coming up with witchy based products to make and sell and I was great at my job. For years leading up to this position, I had been making folk style apothecary potions for my family and friends and my very favorite thing to do was find interesting ingredients and create something amazing out of them. So when I got this job, I felt like I had come home. Until shit hit the fan and I discovered my dream job was more of a nightmare and that job compelled me to turn my back on spirituality for more than a year.
Fast forward 15 months and I got hit so hard with the urge to practice magic again, that I practically fell to my knees. That same day, the idea for Spirit Element was born (called Moon Phace Collective) at the time. I have spent years and years, creating new recipes, honing my perfumery skills, and finding interesting ways to turn mundane beauty and wellness care into ritualistic magic.
I have over a thousand recipes in my archives; from Spirit Element favorites to test blends that were lovely but never made it to production, private label blends that clients passed on and potions and brews made for my personal needs. I have so many shampoo, conditioner, face washes, lotions and bath recipes I couldn’t share because I didn’t want to sell products with preservatives. But with the Witch’s Apothecary, magical potions membership, I can offer all of my favorite recipes.
As well as some of the many rituals I have created over the years. Some of you will remember my time at the School of Witchery. I wrote two rituals a week for years and guess what, they are all just sitting there, waiting for a new home. It breaks my heart to let all of these amazing things go to waste so instead, I’m making them available for you.
Not into making your own things? I get it. Spirit Element will still offer some amazing products that will expand over the coming months.
