Death Tarot Aromatherapy Roller DIY
If you’ve been with me for a while, you will know that Spirit Element has had dozens of different products over the years. And when I look back through all my recipes, I have well over a thousand.
Among fan favorites are my Tarot perfumes, like the one I’m sharing today based on the Death Tarot card. And ICYMI, my first book, The Witch’s Apothecary, is coming out next year and I’m already working on book number too. Both of which have many recipes from some of your favorite Spirit Element products.

You’ll need:
5 drops black pepper essential oil
8 drops cypress essential oil
7 drops Virginian cedarwood essential oil
1/3 oz sweet almond or jojoba oil
1/3 oz perfume roller
Dried herbs if desired*
Slip your herbs into the bottle if using, then drop essential oils in one drop at a time. Pour the almond or jojoba oil in the bottle, cap and shake well. Allow the mixture to synergize on your altar for no less than 24 hours. I like to sit the bottle on top of a death tarot card.
Dab onto the pulse points: decollete, behind the ears and knees, on wrists, between breasts and underarms for a long lasting fragrance.
Herbs I like for honoring the Death tarot card:
Cypress: for encouraging calm to better manage the stress of loss.
Yarrow: for facing negative influences and finding courage.
Sea Salt: for keeping spirits high during times of change
St. John’s Wort - for bringing light and hope back into the spirit
The ones pictured below are filled with yarrow and then the other herbs were a last minute addition. A friend gifted me with these sacred herbs picked from her ancestral lands in Britain and they felt appropriate to add. The one on the left has rowan bark which I added for finding success after transitions. The one on the right has crabtree apple leaf because apples are associated with death and Samhain.
