Three Ways to Practice Abundance
The period between Litha and Lammas is perhaps the best time of year to do abundance work. This sabbat falls at the halfway point of summer and is all about harvesting, growth, abundance, and gratitude. Think about it, the summer is when food is most abundant and there’s a feeling of being able to splurge a little and to celebrate the joys of being alive.
Which sounds good but it's easier said than done to just “feel abundant.” It takes practice and more than that, it takes work to know what something feels like if you’ve never had the feeling. So below, I’m sharing my tips for learning to feel more wealth and abundance this summer.
Celebrate Each Increase
Be joyous for every single increase in your financial abundance even if it's just finding a quarter on the ground. Celebrate being one quarter richer in the same way you’d celebrate being $100 richer. The energy of abundance doesn’t know the difference between that quarter and $100 or $1000 or 1 million; energy is energy no matter the quantity. And everytime you acknowledge that energy, you’re sending out an intention to receive more. Plus, it feels much better to be happy about something than it does to complain and manifestation is all about feeling good and expecting good.
Borrow Wealth Consciousness
You might’ve heard the term “collective consciousness” which essentially means we are all connected in spirit as ONE consciousness. Which means, you can borrow wealth consciousness from another person who you know to be wealthy. To do so, close your eyes and imagine the spirit or soul of a wealthy person standing in front of you. Ask them to share their wealth and wealth consciousness with you and then imagine a beam of light streaming from their soul to yours. Close this practice by thanking them and when you feel like you do not have enough wealth in your life, close your eyes and do this practice again.
Abundance Avatars
One of the cornerstones of manifestation is to behave as though you already have what you’re asking for. But to do that, you need to be clear about what kind of person you’d be when your goal is achieved. Making an avatar of your highest self is a great way to begin shifting into this person. Write down who you’d be if you were a millionaire, just bought that new car, or whatever intention you are attempting to manifest. What kind of choices would lead to this accomplishment? Would you save more, invest, take a big risk, or ask for a loan? Do you need to move, or ask a friend to watch your kids? Does your style or the way you carry yourself have any impact? Get as detailed and specific as possible. By the end of this exercise, you should have a pretty good understanding of who you need to become to achieve your dreams. Now, you just have to start aligning your choices with your highest self.
