Pretty Powerful Things

1. Magick.com live shopping experience

Featuring ME as your host!

I’ve been working with my friends over at Magick.com on this for a few months. It's been a lot of work but also super exciting to be doing something like. It's essentially a Home Shopping Network but for witches and mystics and if everything goes well, there are huge plans on the horizon.

For now, we’re doing our very first test show this Wednesday at 4pm PDT. I hope to see you there.

2. Lammas Night Market in Long Beach, CA

I will also be doing another live signing of my book and decks at REcircle Home this coming Sunday, the 30th in honor of Lammas.

You will also be able to shop a selection of ritual candles and tools, many of which are only offered at this market. You cannot purchase them online.

These are a lot of fun and there are some pretty amazing people to meet and connect with. There’s also live music and a Lammas wreath making workshop.

Click here for more information and to see some of the other amazing vendors.

3. Witching Hour Oracle

Thank you so much for everyone who has been asking about and pre-ordering my new deck, Witching Hour Oracle. This deck is incredibly special to me and something I wrote after a personal dark night of the soul.

I like to think of this deck as very honest and written specifically for you if you are ready to take control of your life and start living in your personal power.

Everything about my life changed after working with the energies I have outlined in this deck and I believe the same will be true for you.

I have also included what I call “Companion Cards” for almost every card in the deck. A card means one thing on its own but combined with other cards, the meaning can be quite different. I have given you the specific interpretation of what it means when two cards appear in a reading together. This is to help those of you who are ready to take your oracle readings to a new level, so that you can begin weaving deep and meaningful stories.

Here’s a look at some of the cards below. And more previews are on the way.  You can also pre-order Witching Hour Oracle here

4. Upcoming Candle Launch

I really love making candles and I have a lot of fun ideas that I am in the process of making. For now though, I thought I’d give you a look at the mood board for some of the fall candles I have coming up. This is the first of two I’ll be sharing over the next couple of weeks. Can you guess the names and ritual meanings?

5. Fall Mugs I’m Loving

I really do have a mug obsession. I think it's because I love both coffee and tea so dearly. They are two of my absolute favorite things in life so naturally, mugs have become dear to me too!

I just purchased two brand new mugs that I think are so gorgeous and decided to share them with you. How cute are these? Let me know in the comments if you end up purchasing them and in which color/style.

6. Questions of the Week

“When do we get a sneak peek of the Witching Hour Oracle?”

Very soon. Hopefully this week. But there is already a sneak peak if you are a Pretty Rituals member. You can find it under the “Cards & Cosmos” section.

“What age did you start learning the Tarot?”

I didn’t start reading tarot until I was about 23 or 24. I got a reading from a new co-worker who was super into tarot and I absolutely loved everything about it. I was so nervous because we went to a Starbucks and we definitely got some looks but then she started reading and I couldn’t believe some of the information she shared. We’d only known each other at that point for about two weeks so it's not like she knew anything about me. I was so blown away that I went home, and immediately got online and started looking for my first deck.

That was in June of that year. I brought a deck with me to Thanksgiving dinner and to my surprise, everyone in my family wanted a reading. And even more surprising, my dad had been introduced to tarot cards in the 80s when his company worked with a metaphysical store in Malibu. I had no idea.

“Will you do the rest of the seasons too? Like litha, Lammas?”

Yes! There will be a deck for all eight of the seasons/sabbats. So eight in total.

“How much fun was it to make the Imbolc deck??? It looks beautiful.”

This was quite emotional for me to be honest. The theme for this one is the SELF and working with your own energy and I wrote it during a time when I had to put up a very strict boundary with someone I really cared for. I always end up writing exactly what I’m going through and this one is no different. But it was very healing to write about the ways I had learned how to be strong on my own and how to process what I was feeling. Particularly the grief associated with moving on from someone you cared about but also know is very toxic for you.

The deck is absolutely beautiful but in a very inward focused way. It really captures the heart of winter and I think it's going to be an excellent deck for anyone learning how to self-support. I also think it will be a perfect match for a new deck I just got called The Solitary Witch Oracle. I find the themes to be very in alignment with each other.

7. Last days for Lammas Readings

There are just a few more days left to get a $5 reading for Lammas. And this time, I have added a luxe option which includes 6 cards for developing self-worth and self-confidence. This is a great reading if you need to be better prepared for something meaningful coming up or if you just struggle with finding your confidence and need a little helping hand.

$5 Lammas readings close Wednesday, July 26th at midnight EDT.

8. I Need Your Help

There is so much I want to share with all of you but I also want to hear from you. Please share what you want to see most (this is confidential so no one else will see). Choose from the drop down list or select “other” and fill out the message if there is something not on the list that you’re interested in. This is your chance to help shape what content (including new books and oracle decks) I create next.

Xoxo Lorriane.
