Tarot cards have long been powerful tools for divination, self-reflection, and spiritual growth. But what if I told you that you could combine the mystical properties of tarot with the ancient art of herbalism to create a truly magical experience? Like everything else, tarot has an energy that can be channeled into a ritualistic apothecary potion. In this blog post, I'll introduce you to the concept of a ritual apothecary recipe using tarot cards. This recipe is very easy to make and use. And be sure to stay tuned for more tarot inspired recipes this summer.

Before diving into the recipe, let's explore why tarot and herbalism make such a perfect pair.

Tarot Cards: Tarot decks are rich in symbolism and archetypes, each card use a unique energy and message that you can use as inspiration for your ritual potions and blends. They offer insights into your subconscious, guiding you through life's twists and turns with wisdom and intuition.

Herbalism: Herbalism, the practice of using plants for healing and spiritual purposes, taps into the Earth's natural energies. Herbs have been used for centuries in rituals, spells, and potions, offering their medicinal and magical properties to those who seek them.

By combining the two, you can create a synergy that enhances both practices, amplifying their effects and deepening your connection to the natural world.

Tarot Infused Bath Salts

- 1 cup Epsom salts

- ½ cup sea salt

- ¼ cup dried herbs lavender (or you can switch this out with something specific to your tarot card)

- 10-15 drops of your favorite essential oil (lavender, rose, frankincense)

- A small, clean glass jar

- A tarot card of your choice

Before you begin, take a moment to center yourself. Hold your tarot card in your hands and focus on your intention for the ritual. What do you seek to gain from this experience? Allow the card to speak to you, guiding your intentions for the bath.

In a mixing bowl, combine the Epsom salts, sea salt, and dried herbs. Stir gently to mix them together, infusing the blend with your intentions and the energy of the herbs. Add the essential oil to the salt mixture, stirring well to distribute the scent evenly. As you do so, visualize the healing and transformative properties of the oils merging with the other ingredients, enhancing their magic.

Place your chosen tarot card on top of the salt mixture in the bowl. Close your eyes and visualize the energy of the card infusing the salts, imbuing them with its wisdom and guidance. Carefully spoon the infused bath salts into your glass jar. Seal the jar tightly, locking in the energy of the ingredients. Place the jar on top of your tarot card until ready to use.

When you're ready, draw a warm bath and sprinkle a handful of the mixture into the water. As you soak, meditate on the symbolism of the tarot card and allow its energy to envelop you. Visualize any insights or messages coming to you as you relax in the fragrant waters. You may also wish to laminate your card or a photo of your card and place in the bath with you.

After your bath, thank the energies that guided you and reflect on any insights or experiences you had during the ritual. You may choose to keep the tarot card on your altar or return it to your deck, carrying its energy with you as you move forward.
