There is a uniquely transformative power in switching out your decks to reflect the blossoming energies of the cosmos. In the ever-evolving journey of spiritual work, the choice of decks you work with can become a powerful tool for aligning with the energies of the Sabbats, seasons, and astrological signs.
Aries, the very first sign of the zodiac is here bringing along all of its fierce, innovative and sometimes even aggressive energy. This sign is excellent for building your confidence and stepping into the driver’s seat of your life. The cards on this list reflect that strong energy. You will find a lot of warm colors, dynamic energy, and characters who are very comfortable in their own skin. Now these are my personal recommendations but I’d love to hear from you too.
Do you change your decks with each zodiac sign? If so, what deck are you using this Aries season?
Mythos Tarot
This one was a last minute addition as it wasn’t on my original list. But I saw it on my tarot shelf and it suddenly occurred to me that it felt right for Aries. I imagine the gods are VERY confident. I imagine they are very aggressive, and I imagine they are very fit. This deck could also fit nicely into Leo but I do think the energy of the Greek gods goes along with Aries for sure. From deities like Nike and well, Ares, I felt this deck is right at home during this time of the year.
I also love this deck. The artwork is gorgeous, the guidebook is great, and the quality of the packaging is very well done. I recommend it whether or not you choose to use it for Aries. It’s for sure one of my top five favorites decks.

Tattoo Tarot
This is an older deck that I’ve had for a few years but I love it. I used to use it all the time when I was in a more masculine energy time of my life. That’s what made me think of it. I think of warriors when I use this deck. The characters have very strong, prominent features and the colors are primarily reds and yellows. And perhaps what I love most about the deck is the symbolism. The little booklet talks about hearts, arrows, diamonds, snakes, and keys being traditional elements of tattoo inking and I also associated many if not all of these symbols with the zodiac sign Aries.
This is also one of my more aggressive decks which is absolutely a concept Aries energy is familiar with. I would say it’s the strongest on the list in terms of energy so proceed with caution.
Mystic Palette Tarot: Muted Edition
I don’t think muted is the right name for this deck because this is all day fire energy. Just about every card looks like fire. It’s really warm with primarily reds, oranges and yellows. It instantly reminded me of Aries. There’s also a lot of movement in the artwork. I’m a big fan of this artist, having used their decks since the beginning of my journey as a tarot reader. And I love this one too.
Everything feels very dynamic and after just a few weeks with it, I can tell this is the kind of deck I can’t use all year long because there is A LOT of energy in this one. I may use it exclusively for Aries season but that’s just me. It doesn't come with a guidebook but if you’re looking for a strong energy for Aries, Beltane or summer, then this one is a winner.

Inner Light Tarot
I knew that I wanted to include Inner Light Tarot for the Aries series when I first saw it. Physical movement is a very Aries energy. Anything that involves action and vitality is associated with Aries. Exercise is technically a Virgo energy, especially when it comes to taking care of the body but athleticism is more on the Aries side. Being the first, the best, the most aggressive is something Aries does very well. And while yoga may be more gentle than the 100 m dash, it still represents getting your energy going.
Not to mention, the color palette is primarily warm reds, oranges and pinks which is right there with Aries energy. The overall aesthetic is in my opinion most aligned with Aries or with fire signs.

Dragon Oracle
This is an older deck, I believe it came out in 2017 and I don’t use it very much to be honest with you. But I have always been attracted to dragon’s and I really associate them with Aries, a powerful fire sign. Dragon’s have presence, confidence and are not afraid to burn you if you get in their way. And those are all themes that are associated with Aries so I would be remiss if I didn’t include it on this list.
What I love most about the deck is that the dragon’s aren’t all fiery energy. There are dragons that represent water, air, and earth as well as many other energies. And that feels like a great way to ground Aries’ sometimes chaotic and impulsive energy. I think if you’re an Aries sign, Scorpio (which shares Mars as a ruling planet) or any fire sign really, I think you can get a lot out of this one.
She Wolfe Tarot
I’ve had this deck for a long time and I have always viewed this deck as having an intense fiery energy. In fact I’m almost certain I only pull this deck out in spring, right around the Aries season. Though called She Wolfe, I do feel it has a strong masculine energy to it and definitely a warrior energy about it. There’s a lot of movement in the artwork and almost chaotic like energy that to me, puts it firmly in Aries territory. Finally, this deck is full of naked bodies. I mention this because really, Aries is about self-awareness. The focus is on you and you alone. Not everyone else, not even the material, just you. Aries corresponds to infancy and the naked bodies brought this to my mind.
