Well hello darling!

I haven’t done a weekly or monthly reading in a long time but in the break, I found myself truly missing this practice. I am so happy to bring back monthly readings in 2024. I feel like I have truly found my voice in tarot and I’m really excited to share it with you. I’m using the Witch Sister Tarot which is such an incredible deck. I will be sharing the review soon so stay tuned and sign up for my newsletter below so that you don’t miss the post.

Be warned, the cards pulled in this reading appear to be undesirable on the surface. Cards like the three of swords and the five of skies, traditionally feel challenging but in the Witch Sister Tarot, offer a very different perspective. It's more inward focused, which means, it's within your power to change the narrative. Try to find the positive in this reading. I believe it represents a wonderful start to a wonderful year.

Xoxo, Lorriane

Earth (Physical Realm)

What practical steps can I take to enhance my financial stability and physical well-being this month? → Five of Skies

The five of skies suggests sudden change is coming into your life as it relates to your finances or physical well-being. Keep in mind that physical can mean other things beyond the body. It can represent your material comforts such as where or how you live, your sense of lifestyle, or your long-term plans. Wherever this card lands for you, it represents the need to let yourself be carried away. This card is slightly different from the five of swords in the traditional tarot. That card is more about strife, challenge and even physical attacks. But in the Witch Sister tarot, it's more about using challenges as a means to grow. What feels scary or threatening might actually be your means for evolution if you allow yourself to be carried away. And really, that’s the story of life. There are ups masquerading as downs and vice versa. The only way you’ll overcome your fears is to face them.

Air (Mental Realm)

How can I cultivate mental clarity and enhance my communication skills in my relationships this month? → The Fool

The new year brings about a chance to do things in a new way. Release the need to contemplate your plans endlessly. Could you allow yourself to simply be in the moment, acting when the time feels right? How many times have you missed your chance because of indecision, fear, or concern about what others will think? The fool, presented here as a young witch, reminds you that nothing new comes out of the familiar. Growth is waiting for you, just on the outskirts of what you know. Will you allow yourself to go on an adventure this month and start the year off with a true bang? Even if you aren’t ready to take a physical leap, a change in your mindset towards fearlessness can truly change your life. It's amazing how different things can be for you a year from now.

Fire (Passion and Creativity)

What passions and creative pursuits should I focus on to bring excitement and fulfillment into my life this month? → Six of Trees

The six of trees, or what you might know as wands, is a card about recognizing your sacrifices. You have done and been through so much to get to this point. Whether that is surviving a challenging time or working your fingers to the bone to summon a dream to real life. No life story is without bumps and bruises– battle wounds that confirm you are worthy of any success coming your way. This card invites you to feel the presence of abundance all around you. To give yourself permission to enjoy any wealth or recognition you have received. And if you do not feel as though you’ve been given the recognition you deserve, then pump up your own chest and allow yourself to be just arrogant enough to believe your thoughts and ideas matter. That you can change the world and that the people who can’t see that simple aren’t in the know enough to recognize your talent.

Water (Emotional Realm)

What emotional patterns or challenges do I need to address, and how can I nurture my emotional well-being and relationships in the month ahead? → Three of Skies

This card is traditionally known as the three of swords, the card of betrayal. But this is one of the most beautiful interpretations of this card I have ever seen. It suggests a betrayal of yourself by failing to sing your song. It speaks of the hardship we allow ourselves to feel over and over when we try to force ourselves to be something we’re not to please people who do not accept us we truly are. And so the message here is to let your voice be heard. Some people may not be able to accept you when you speak up for yourself but, you might be surprised. Either way, you will have the truth of those surrounding you and the information needed to either deepen connections you have found to be true, or search elsewhere when you have found a relationship to be hollow.

Spirit (Divine Guidance)

How can I strengthen my spiritual connection and receive divine guidance to navigate the month ahead with grace and wisdom? → Four of Stones

It’s so funny that earlier today, I saw a post that said “you are exactly where you need to be.” That is the message of this card as well. You may feel like you’ve missed the boat, the trend, are too old, or can never catch up to others. That isn’t true and this card wants to stitch that deeply into your spirit. You will rise at your own time. The only right time is when you stop comparing yourself to others and let yourself be where you are. To start where you are. Your path to growth will look completely different from everyone else and that is what will set you apart. But you waste so much time, comparing yourself to others. Precious time that could be spent evolving in your own journey. They say youth is wasted on the young. This card says time is wasted on those obsessed over time.
