For those of you who read my email last month about my health issues, today is the day I go in for my big test, the one that took three months to get. So please, wish me luck. I’m a little nervous but also optimistic and hopeful all will be well.

→ Corn Maze
Receiving this card two days in a row is a big sign letting you know this work is important to your personal growth. This card may even shed some light on why you might be feeling stagnant, lost, confused, stuck in the past, unmotivated or unfulfilled. I often get questions about purpose and over the years, I have come to see a deeper truth about it. Most of us believe it's a job or something physical we should be doing but that’s only the expression of the purpose but the purpose itself. What you’re meant to do with your life starts first by knowing what’s important to you. Imagine working towards a goal for 10 or 20 years only to achieve it and realize, you couldn’t care less. A purpose should be driven by things that excite or motivate you to take action. Something that you’re compelled by and it almost hurts to deny it. If you’re seeking more fulfillment in your life then stop looking for purpose and start figuring out your values. Sure, this is a lot of energy and work for one day but you have to get started sometime. Why not today?

→ Molasses
This card indicates feeling stuck. It's a difference from laziness. It's not that you don’t want to do anything but more like a lack of clarity. You just don’t know what to do to move forward. This is a common issue. Many people feel called to something greater but can’t put their finger on what that something is. Receiving this card means you aren’t stuck because you can’t figure things out: you’re stuck so that you CAN figure things out. Molasses almost always appears right after you’ve been moving too fast. That could mean making mindless choices, saying yes to too much or perhaps saying no to too much, or doing a lot of things with no real results. And now, you are being gifted with this period of stagnation so that for one, you can catch your breath. And two, so that you can take your time and make intentional choices. Remember Corn Maze from the last two days? You need to understand what’s important to you before you know how to move forward. So slow down, take your time and think things through.

→ Crow
With this card, I have found those who are typically positive interpret this card as a useful message. But those that are fearful or negative usually see this card as a warning. I wish I could say that was my intention when writing it but it was just a happy accident. I’m glad it invokes different things for different people though. That means the spirit of the Crow is really felt in this card as crows are both good and bad omens, depending on who you ask. So today, I ask you to contemplate what this card means for you. Close your eyes, take a deep breath and answer this: is this card a good message or bad? Take whatever response comes first. Don’t question it or give it reason, just accept it and embrace it. Then look out for the message throughout the day.

→ St. John’s Wort & Marigold
Protection has been a huge theme, at least in my life this month as it keeps coming up. For today, I sense there’s a general need for protection. It's not that anyone wishes you harm exactly but there are people around you who are unintentionally causing you distress. For example a friend who doesn’t see how their actions affect others. They probably don’t realize it themselves so there’s really no blame, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t protect yourself and your well-being. Or it could be that world events are taking their toll and I mean, who isn’t affected by global affairs these days? You may need to shield yourself from the general negative energy in the air. Receiving a card about protection isn’t always a sign someone is out to get you. Sometimes we all just need to protect ourselves from the energy of life and today seems like one of those days.

→Coming of Darkness
I love to see this card this week as Fall is just days away. Immediately I knew this card was about autumn. When I wrote this card, I meant it as a change in fortune but like most things this year, my understanding of the card has evolved. This card does mean a change in circumstance but that doesn’t have to be good or bad, just different. Autumn, although the gateway for the dark part of the year is gorgeous and there’s lots to learn from its energy. But it's a very different frequency from summer and there’s a transition as one season ends and another begins. So this card becomes your signal to prepare yourself for the shift. Be gentle with yourself in the coming days. Give yourself space to be moody, nostalgic, to miss or mourn summer, or just to understand it takes your spirit a few days to shift gears.

→ Maple Tree
What a lovely card to receive especially after having Corn Maze twice and Molasses. Maple Tree means the stagnation is lifting. Clearly you’ve gotten some better understanding about your next steps or something has inspired you to take action. This is a happy card and means good luck, favorable circumstances or just all around good vibes. Perhaps you’re settling into the coziness of fall or maybe this is just a good day. Whatever the reason, enjoy it. Don’t ask why you’re riding so high today because it doesn’t matter. You don’t need a reason to be happy or content. And don’t forget to share your joy because happiness is infectious.

Happy first day of Autumn! On this day, Tea Magick invites you to seek truth. In fact, I would encourage you to engage in a deeper tarot or oracle reading today to uncover deeper awareness. Your higher self sent you this card because it wants you to face your life and figure out what you need to be more like you. What do you want? What do you need? Truly, what is holding you back? And not the simple answers like you don’t have time or money but the harder stuff like you’re afraid of rejection or you’re pissed and you don’t know why or you still love your ex and can’t figure out how to let go. Let your heart break so that it can break open. Flood your spirit with the truth so that it spills out of you and sets you free. There’s no better time than the start of a new season to let go and there’s no better season to let go than fall. Use today wisely.
